Thanksgiving and Black Friday Chaos

Happy belated Thanksgiving!  I hope everyone enjoyed it with their families.  I had thanksgiving lunch and then had to go to work to serve dinner at the country club.  From there I went home, changed and went out black Friday shopping.
I went to a few stores and of course, like a dork... or old granny, got in line at A.C. Moore so that I was one of the first 50 people so I received a $10 gift card.  I bought lots of yarn, since I recently finished my first crochet baby blanket.

This was the first thing I ever did since my gram taught me how last year and now I am going bonkers like usual.  I printed a bunch of patterns and went and bought more baby yarn so I can make a bunch of different things, more blankets, booties, mittens.  SO Excited!  I also purchased scrapbooking stuff so that I could start my scrapbook of my Europe trip I took in highschool 6 years ago.  Better late than never!
My ambition to make things is back, but it seems to temporarily be elsewhere with scrapbooking and crocheting.  And I still havent gotten it out of my system.  I want to hit-up Joanns tomorrow or Monday too.  We were getting tired this morning and decided sleep was much much more important.
Unfortunately I was unable to sleep for more than 4 hours and had to go to work again tonight.  So off to catch up on sleep!

"Weekend" Day two

Always interesting having Monday and Tuesday as your weekend.  Everyone else is off Sunday and Monday so although it is nice to have two days off, I tend to just sit at home and relax though.

I went to A.C. Moore yesterday and they still do not have new coasters, I talked to someone who worked there and he said he would have them in two weeks.  I sure hope so!  Which means I am going to have to crack down and work on them before when I get them to have them done for Christmas.

Black Friday and Thanksgiving are quickly approaching... I need to plan out what I want to get everyone.  I like to make a good dent in my shopping Black Friday.  It will be interesting because I work on thanksgiving, come home and will be going out pretty soon after since everywhere opens at midnight.

So I guess I should probably get going around here, maybe work on the grape light switch covers or stain a plaque I bought yesterday.

Monday

Today I added a few more listings to Etsy that I had made a few weeks ago.  I hope to work on outlet and light switch covers today that I want to paint ivy and grapes on.  I have a custom order coaster set that I need to do before Christmas, but I need to find quality coasters.  It seems like I am the only person in Western New York who buys coasters from A.C. Moore and the only set they have left is garbage.  I will be going out there today with a friend who had me do the custom deer painting so she can pick out matting and frames.  Maybe if i am lucky they received another shipment of coasters. 

I need to work on my grandmother's scrapbook too before Christmas...Lots and Lots to do!  And I still haven't had time to get my hair cut and colored!  There needs to be more hours in a day....and more days off work haha.   Can I retire at 22? hahaha I'm in deep trouble since I only have a part time job!

Highest Views Yet!

Although slightly still feeling off due to the poor outcome of the show, I cannot believe how many views I have had today.  I added a few of the paintings to Etsy that I had with me at the show and can be seen in the display post I had the other day.  I still have more to add tomorrow and the day after as well! 

Bummed

So today and yesterday was the craft sale.  First day was nice, there were a lot of wonderful comments, a few people took my card, and one couple were contemplating buying.  Second day was a little slower.  I didn't sell anything either day and ate my table fee.  Luckily it wasn't that much.  I was at least enjoying my time and the possibility of a sale when people were so excited over the pieces.  Until someone walked by with their 7 or so year old son and made a comment "YOU could do that" all snotty.  Seriously rude.  So I went from yesterday being excited about making new things as some people asked if I had sailboats, etc which I didn't, to not wanting to even think about painting and feeling like I am just making a huge pile of art that I have nowhere to put, Haha.

Church Shopping Spree

Today is the first day of the Wayside Presbyterian Church's 6th Annual Shopping Spree!  It begins tonight at 7:00pm.  I can't wait to see what happens!
